I wanted to get an Imac 27″ with my winnings from Superbowl Sunday [Even though the Giants are favoured by 3pts, the Pats look better statistically]. What is freaking me out is the comments from mac users that there are alot of shut down issues using the 16GB ram. I’m asked at work and the ITSB guys say go with Mushkin w/ Hynix chips (#977020A) to quell the random shutdown issues. Others say BS; its largely a Photoshop issue and that brand ram has nothing to do with it. Who is right?!!! I’ve upgraded my 4GB Lenovo G560 laptop with Critical’s 8gb ddr3 1333mz ram and I like the blazing speed. What should I do?
