This is a much better deal on a notebook when it comes to speed than the cheaper but bigger Toshiba notebook I wrote about. Sure, it costs more money, and you get a smaller screen size, but for an extra $200 (a lot of money to some, myself included) you do get a much more modern computer that will last you well into 2011 and beyond.
At $629.00, the Toshiba is a much cheaper than an Apple MacBook Air, (close to half the price) and yet still comes with a fast 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5-2430M processor, 4GB of DDR3 RAM that you can, and should max out to 8GB (more on that in a minute – see below) a 500GB hard drive, and Windows Home Professional all standard equipment on this fast and portable notebook computer. The Toshiba Satellite L735-S3375 also offers a lighter footprint at 4.6 lbs instead of six lbs for the average 15.6 inch notebook in 2011, the battery life is up to six hours long thanks to the newer battery technology with six cells and the finish is nicer in a high-gloss Fusion Finish in Matrix Silver, that’s just a nicer look I think than the cheap black plastic a lot of 2011 notebooks ship with in order to reduce costs and compete on price.
